Production Designer


At Instrument, the Production Designer produces digital creative assets for production in support of the development team. The Production Designer will be responsible creating, producing and optimizing creative assets in the form of designs, images, video, and other content for existing and new clients. This role also works within our web development team to support website development and maintenance projects.

The Production Designer has the responsibility for ensuring a consistent, high level of design production. The person in this role must be versatile, multi-faceted and capable of working independently. An understanding and ability to use modern web technologies and tools is expected.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience in the interactive and design field
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • A passion for innovation and technology with a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure
  • Solid foundation in typography, layout, and graphic design
  • A sound portfolio of work showcasing creative design solutions and an attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of HTML, capabilities of web browsers, and mobile web trends
  • Understanding of cross-browser issues and optimizing for Search Engines
  • Video editing/ compression skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with visual designers and web developers to produce web designs, web page comps, creative assets, email campaigns for production.
  • Produce high quality digital assets that represent the user experience as defined in product requirements documents, functional specifications, wireframes, flow diagrams, schematics, designs and prototypes.
  • Support the web development team with website maintenance, content management, website updates and web development tasks
  • Help produce project documentation and/ or presentations for new or existing client work and pitches.
