Project Overview

In late 2011, Google came to Instrument and tasked us with designing an online product experience for the global launch of Google's first phone with Android 4.0, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Simplifying a wealth of features like Face Unlock, 4G LTE and Android Beam, we crafted a site that both showed off these unique features and encouraged a large scale digital registration. Working on a parallax-based HTML5 system, we were able to present a intuitive interface to the user that formed a seamless browsing experience between the phone and its related content.

For the actual release of the Nexus, we crafted a second site that utilizes WebGL to showcase multiple views of the phone along with videos explaining key features such as multi-tasking, Panorama Mode, and the revamped HD display.

To expand the site's reach, we designed it to work with all browsers, and across all mobile devices and tablets. The result was almost 50,000 shares on Google+ in the US alone, an increase of 500% shares over the previous Nexus site.
